MYMCA became a real stepping stone for me. I met so many like minded people who genuinely wanted to do good, to contribute to something larger than themselves. The friends I made at MYMCA (be it the staff, other volunteers and more) constantly encouraged me, reminded me why community work matters, and made giving back feel natural and fulfilling. It is the sense of shared purpose and working towards something bigger as a group that pushed me to grow as a person and to continue showing up.
